Pregnant Charlotte Hawkins proudly shows off her blossoming figure at Lorraine ... - Daily Mail

She has to set her alarm for 2.40 am every weekday to prepare for reporting duties on Good Morning Britain.

But that didn't stop Charlotte Hawkins stepping out in honour of breakfast TV legend Lorraine Kelly on Wednesday night.

The pregnant broadcaster looked stunning in a two-tone red dress which skimmed over her blossoming baby bump.

The 38-year-old beamed as she posed for pictures outside London's Langham Hotel, putting a protective hand over her stomach.

The former Sky News presenter famously announced her baby news on the ITV show back in August.

The tot is her first child with husband Mark Herbet, who she wed in 2008.

Not usually one to step out on a weeknight, Charlotte made the exception to celebrate her colleague's glittering 30 year TV career.

Kicking off her stint on morning TV back in 1984, Lorraine, 54, was feted during Tuesday's episode of her longrunning self-titled show.

After being surprised by her Good Morning Britain colleague Ben Shephard in a kilt, the beloved Scot became emotional as she reminisced about her stellar professional life.

She said: 'It's been overwhelming and amazing.

'I can't believe it's been 30 years, it's gone by in a flash, but you know, you're only as good as your team and my team, both on-screen and off-screen, are fabulous, the very best. I'm going to cry!'

The broadcaster began her TV career as an on-screen reporter covering Scottish news on TV-AM in 1984, before moving to presenting on Good Morning Britain in 1990.

She was then put in charge of her own section, Lorraine on GMTV, in 1994, and still fronts the magazine style format 20 years on.

Her colleagues past and present also stepped out to help her celebrate on Wednesday night, with guests including former GMTV weather girls Andrea McLean and Clare Nasir, Loose Women Janet Street-Porter, fellow Good Morning Britain star Kate Garraway and TV presenter Nadia Sawalha.
