Honey Boo Boo looked like she needed some entertainment after the day's dismal news of her parents' separation.
The nine-year-old wore a sad face as she gathered with relatives and friends at the family's home in McIntyre, Georgia on Friday, just hours after 'Mama June' and Mike 'Sugar Bear' Thompson announced they'd separated.
But a TLC source claims Honey's father will still be a key cast member and that the split will be 'good for the show'.

'To tell the truth it's good for the show. It had hit a bit of a lull and now there are tons of story lines ... dating, single parenting, breakups,' the insider told TMZ.
They also claim the network want to ensure the children are not 'emotionally bleeding' on camera because of their parents' separation.
There is also claims Mama June will be featured more prominently as she navigates life as a strong single mother.

Mama June appeared to be in the best of moods as she laughed with some friends on the front porch.
TMZ reported that Mama June has asked Mike to get out after she 'caught him cheating on her' through online dating sites including PlentyOfFish.com.
A profile believed to be of Mike has surfaced with the username 'Georgiafighter31054' that boasts: 'i love to hunt fish and ride 4wheelers and have a good time. i luve muddy Boggs and love to ride in the mudd (sic).
On a side note, it was an online dating site called Catfish that brought the couple to meet in 2004.

June wasn't wearing her wedding ring when she was pictured earlier on Friday, and sources tell TMZ that she intends to throw Mike out of the family home.
In a statement, the couple told TMZ: 'Sugar Bear and I have decided to take some time apart to figure out some things in our relationship.
'We are taking things day by day but regardless of what happens the girls will always be our #1 priority. We want to thank ya'll for your support.

On Friday, Honey Boo Boo kept her eyes downcast as she padded down a rural neighbourhood street in purple shorts and a T-shirt featuring two happy kittens and the message 'Friends Forever.'
The pint-sized star seemed to find the perfect thing to get her out of her rut while filming scenes for the TLC show - a game of Life.
Honey Boo Boo, whose real name is Alana, was seen emerging from the white house ferrying the board game on her shoulder while the family cat groomed itself on the porch.

Lingering on the front lawn was Lauryn 'Pumpkin' Shannon, among others, and she occupied herself with an iPad.
Honey Boo Boo's beloved Uncle Lee 'Poodle' Thompson, in fact, seemed to be one of the few people actually having a great time as he canoodled with his boyfriend in the driveway.
A dour-looking Sugar Bear came out of the house to check out messages on his cell phone.
Earlier that same day, the crestfallen family patriarch was seen eating some comfort McDonald's fries.

But on Saturday, Honey Boo Boo's spirits were lifted with a fun day out paintballing with her father.
The schoolgirl was pictured filming scenes from the reality TV show with Mike at Dan's Land Paintballing in Jackson, Georgia.
She was joined by older sisters Lauryn and Jessica.
