For the past year Lynn and Rick Bynes have been taking care of their troubled daughter by opening the doors of their Thousand Oaks, California home and overseeing her medication after the star experienced a string of run-ins with the law.
But on Monday the couple confessed to X17Online they lost track of where the 28-year-old actress was living after she was released from her conservatorship earlier this month.
'We don't know,' a gaunt-looking Rick told the site, also noting he learned of her second DUI arrest on Sunday from the media. It was also revealed the What A Girl Wants star did not ask her parents for her $15,000 bail.

In the dark: Amanda Bynes' parents Lynn and Rick forced cheerful smiles during a walk in their LA neighbourhood on Tuesday after revealing they didn't know their daughter's whereabouts
Sources said her parents do not believe she has a mental illness and will not re-establish a conservatorship, but her friends believe it's only a matter of time before she goes off the rails again, according to an article on Tuesday by TMZ.
Her parents were arm-in-arm as they took a stroll just one day after their daughter was pulled over by the California Highway Patrol.
Amanda's mother, in fact, forced a cheery smile while beating the heat in blue shorts, a blue and red striped shirt and shades. The starlet's dad did likewise, and kept his arm around his wife's shoulders while sporting a purple sports shirt and dark cargo shorts.

The troubled Easy A actress was pulled over in the San Fernando Valley neighborhood of Los Angeles on Sunday at 4 am and taken into custody, the California Highway Patrol confirmed with MailOnline.
She was cited for being under the influence of a controlled substance while driving her Mercedes-Benz that TMZ is now reporting to be Adderall, a psychostimulant pharmaceutical drug of the phenethylamine class used in the treatment of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). The 28-year-old star was released at 12 noon that same day on $15,000 bail.

Once she began living on her own, that's when things started to go 'haywire,' according to a source.
The arrest is causing a legal problem because Bynes is on probation for a reckless conviction from last February. As a result, she could serve time in jail.

'Amanda currently is on zero medication,' her attorney Tamar Arminak said in a statement to UsWeekly in April. 'She's devoted to living her life as healthy as possible. Her family is closely involved with her day-to-day life, but they try to give her as much autonomy as possible.'
